Randy and Peter established a correction signal, "Negative!" a most useful training device. They could say "Puka, hoop, okay," and then say, "Negative," and the dolphin would stop. Also, and I do think this shows intelligence on the part of the animal, they could say, "Puka, jump. Negative. Hoop. Okay," and Puka would go through the hoop instead of obeying the negated command.

That's quite interesting, though I don' t know if Puka was ever taught that. We didn't have any sort of language type behaviors with him, that I knew about, anyway. He may have been doing that sort of stuff with the Navy.

Aww ^^ Dolphins are always so cute. Reminds me of a story I read on Dolphins a few years back where a guy saves a baby dolphin from a harpoon and the parents protect him from a shark.

Cute shot. I love phins from head on. Reminds me of the ones I get doing the dolphin part of our Marine Mammal Keeper Experience program and the dolphins are popping up in front of me to see what I'm doing about two inches from falling into their pool. XD
