Description Some say technology is one of the most dangerous things that exists in the world we live in today. Pfft, look at who made works of technological wonder, curiosity, and destruction. We're more dangerous than the things we make. Look at all the weapons we've made over the years. Spears, swords, armor, Bows & Arrows, etc. Now look at what we can make: Bombs with the radius of states, jets, UGVs, drones, remote controlled small vehicles, tanks, battleships and aircraft carriers. All of those are dangerous weapons, but the most dangerous one is in right inside each and every one of us. The human mind. Some of us don't know that it could be considered as a weapon. They just don't know how to use it properly. Grenades are lethal, but so are our own thoughts.
===================================================================================================

It was another rainy night in New Mombasa, restored to what people would say, "back to normal." Even though there were still some small Covenant carriers up in the air on the surface of the earth, shadowing over some of the city, the atmosphere remained peaceful and tranquil, with no civil or municipal disturbance from the Covenant. The date was December 22, 2257. After the destruction of the South African city by the Covenant's endless army, there has been something in the scientific field called "The Reformation." "The Reformation" was a new reforming of the scientific department in New Mombasa with some more additions into BioScience rather than the usual Engineering departments since there's so many things to repair in that place now. Nonetheless, there was an underground BioScience facility, supervised secretly by ONI, short for the Office of Naval Intelligence. It was there that this Reformation sparked and manifested like a flame, with one specific experiment in mind. Dr. Nelson, the man in charge and supervising the whole procedure from start to finish, was overlooking his fellow colleagues in white lab coats with clipboards and handheld tablets that served as clipboards.

There was a nervous young man, looking to be almost eighteen in age, tapping his foot on the floor while waiting for the doctor and his team to give the all-clear to go into the test room where the experiment would take place. Wearing a white shirt and pants, accommodating to what the scientists and assistants were wearing, he stood there barefoot. He had dark brown hair with some grey-bluish eyes, as well as a few typical teenage acne on his cheek and nose. He looked a little reddish, eyes looking around a little frantically, almost appearing impatient for what might happen to him. He was to be the test subject in which the experiment will take place.

Doctor Nelson came through the sliding door, greeting the young man. "Ah, so nice to see you again, Marcus. Are you ready to begin?" "S-sure thing, doc," Marcus said in reply to Dr. Nelson, "Anything for a friend and for the better of humanity." Dr. Nelson took notice that Marcus appeared uneasy in his facial expression, possibly unsure as to whether he really wants to begin. "Are you sure Marcus? You don't have to do it if you don't want to, you know. I just want you to be in the most comfortable place at the moment." "I-I know man...It's just...Are you going to put me in a machine and zap me or something," Marcus questioned, "Or what? What's gonna happen?" Dr. Nelson answered, "Nonsense, my boy. I'm only going to inject some DNA with yours. Nothing too drastic or something sounding similar to those old comics kids read nowadays." Marcus sighed in relief, and then agreed to begin the experiment, following Dr. Nelson into the test room.

The test room wasn't nothing too special, but it had decent space. Not too big, but not too small. There was a table in which Marcus would lay down on, and a little tray with a syringe on it. The contents of the syringe inside were to look like a dark purplish, almost black color. Marcus laid down upon the table and waited patiently for Dr. Nelson to inject the syringe. "Now hold still, Marcus. This won't be but a moment. And no, it won't hurt. At least, not for more than five seconds," Dr. Nelson informed Marcus, "Alright. Begin Experiment EC-0114. Subject is human and named Marcus Wilkins. Subject will undergo after-effects of injection with the contents in this syringe I am holding in my hands. Proceeding to inject syringe." With that being said, Dr. Nelson injected the serum into Marcus's right arm, Marcus grunting slightly from the pain of the needle.

After injecting all of the contents into Marcus's right arm, Dr. Nelson removed the syringe from it and set the syringe down on the surgical tray. He then waited for any immediate responses from Marcus. No response. Marcus is still alive, but just laying there as if nothing had happened. "Well? Do you feel anything...odd, Marcus?" "Well," Marcus replied, "my chest is starting to burn from the inside a little. Like, pain-wise. Also, my whole body feels...twitchy. Is that supposed to be part of the experiment?"

Soon after, Marcus stood up, feeling all of his body twitch and pulse inside and out. Then, he groaned slightly as his back and chest started to grow, his abdomen growing not so much. His chest soon barreled out a little, but it bulked out more when his chest and back muscles grew and swelled. This was some sort of unknown sensation to Marcus, leaving him paralyzed and immobile as the changes occurred, his eyes closed. Next, the sensation went into his arms and legs as they too grew and lengthened a pinch, muscles growing on them as well. Marcus's fingers changed, his middle and index finger fusing into becoming one. All of his fingers elongate, his pinkies becoming a second thumb, resulting in having four fingers for each hand. Two thumbs and two longer ring fingers. Then, down to his feet, a similar change underwent. Marcus's toes grew and elongated, also fusing into two digits per foot in the process. His heel was almost like a hoof. His ankles shift upwards, making his stance to be digitrade.

Marcus's spine extended in length, as well as his bones elongating, making him taller. The only thing that hasn't changed was his still human head, at least for now. Marcus's hair fell straight off as his normal pale human skin soon changed into a thick, scaley hide, colored dark-brown or purple, almost black, his neck elongating. Thus, making him lean a little, almost as if he is some hunched position. Next, his nose retreating into his face as his face shifts into a short muzzle. Marcus's cheeks began to tingle, all his teeth moving to them as they split into four mandibles, his normal human teeth sharpening to be...well, sharper. His ears retreated into the sides of his head as his head completely looks like that of a Sangheili Elite. Matter of fact, Marcus in fact does look like an Elite, only naked since his transformation had torn through the clothing. Although he was naked, there was no sign of genitalia detected. Marcus gasped, flaring his orange Sangheilian eyes at the ceiling. But with his now enhanced vision, colors became more vibrant, everything looked sharper and brighter, and he could see much better from a distance.

Taking deep, long breaths after the transformation, since his internal organs shifted to match his new alien body, Marcus shook his head, turning to Doctor Nelson. "Is...Is it all over?" He turned both ways, thinking someone else said that, "Wait...who said that?" He clapped his hands over his mouth, shocked to hear it was not his normal human voice, but a rather deep voice of the Elite, possibly one of the deep and commanding ones that could also be booming. "It worked...My God it...It actually worked." Dr. Nelson was astonished at seeing Marcus as what he is now, "Ten years of hard work, paid off in less than 5 minutes..." "Wait....What worked exactly?" Marcus asked Dr. Nelson. "You see, my good friend, we had an idea of making the perfect strategical asset and or operative for ONI. An Elite that can infiltrate and get as much intel needed. A spy, to put it simple." Marcus was silent for a few seconds, but finally speaks up, saying, "You turned me into an Elite!? For ONI!? They've got enough hands full!" Now his Elite voice was booming. "Calm down, Marcus. It's not going to be so bad. You get to fire those Carbines and Plasma Pistols you keep making pictures of...And not only that, but you'll learn all about the Sangheili language, culture, and the Covenant's religion. You'll be the perfect soldier, *ahem! Next to Master Chief* ever!"

Marcus grumbled and mumbled, but soon nodded and accepted what would follow: Training, and lots of it. He stood on the floor, towering over the doctor at eight feet tall, being more muscular thanks to his larger, better, bigger, faster, and stronger alien body. Now all he needed was some armor, some weapons, and some training, and he'll be combat ready in no time. Following Dr. Nelson to their armory he walked on his new legs without difficulty as if he had walked on them for his entire life as an Elite. Shrugging this strange fact off, Marcus saw the many types of armor for the Elites. There were the common Minor armor, the ones which nearly every Elite wears in combat, the Spec Ops armor for those with invisibility cloaks and stealth capabilities, the Ranger armor for heavy hitting, the Ultra armor for the higher ranked Elites, the Zealot armor for special "Bag & Tag" missions with more shields, the General armor for generals that lead armies into battle, and finally the Field Marshall armor, the best of them all for the best of them all. So many choices, so little time.

Marcus thought about which one he should pick, and thus, he chose the Zealot's Armor. It was colored navy blue with some green accents to it, making a pretty decent combination of the two colors. Marcus put on the armor, as instructed by Dr. Nelson, and it's a perfect fit! Now all he needs is some guns and some background knowledge, as well as some sort of combat training. If he's gonna be among Elites, he's gotta look and play his part correctly and precisely.

Transformation is a process, and as life happens there are tons of ups and downs. It's a journey of discovery - there are moments on mountaintops and moments in deep valleys of despair.

I don't know whether to be disgusted, fearful, or flattered that certain humans fantasize about transforming into us, perhaps all three but this is... odd at best to describe it.
