I can't believe how stupid MAGAts have become. So many people around Trump are seriously looking at bankruptcy. Oh yeah, I know, bankruptcy for the rich is not like it is for the rest of us, but even so, an appalling number of Trump's co-conspirators are talking about it.

Then there is the Taylor Swift thing. What? Really? In any democracy, the citizens have the right to vote, the truest expression of that right is getting out and voting. This is dumb politics. MAGAts are saying that Ms Swift is endorsing Biden. So far she has only said, "Get out and vote". The negative attention given to her may just push her into the Biden camp. Given the number of her fans, it may very well be that Trump has just wrecked his own chances of reelection. Seems Trump's response is, "She's more popular than me!" something he has trouble with, apparently.

At a recent rally, Trump told his audience that he went and did a cognitive test. He then says, to build himself up, he was perfect, like he is in so much else and so many other things. Then he tells his fan base that only 2% of the people in this rally could pass this test. So "Fan's you're all as stupid as fuck!" How much clearer does he need to be?

At the same rally seems he also said this, and I am quoting him here...

"Look, having nuclear - my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart - you know, if you're a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world - it's true - but when you're a conservative Republican the try - oh do they do a number - that's why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune - you know I have to give like my credentials all the time, because we are a little disadvantaged - but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me - it would have been so easy, and it's not as important as these lives - nuclear is so powerful..."

Love his run on sentences, well I love my own too, honestly, but in all that, wtf does he actually say? What's the fucking point of saying any of this?

The trouble with this test though is it obviously doesn't measure cognitive dissonance. That is the ability to hold contradictory thoughts without conflict. This is for real! How can they do that? Essentially, under his own rules, Trump hasn't recognized that Biden could have him dispatched, perhaps like how Putin disposed of Prigozhin, or just pick him up, ship him off to Devil's Island and make sure no-one knows where he is. I cannot believe that he is a serious contender when the evidence of declining capacity is right there.

In the meantime, a number of Red States are considering legislation that would effectively destroy democracy in their State. The State does not, and should never have, the right to overturn the popular will of the electorate. That is a fundamental abrogation of their responsibilities to their citizens, incompatible with the democratic principle.

At the other end of the spectrum, seems Wall Street is doing well, profits are up, now all we have to see is some "trickle down" and it will all be to Biden's benefit. Oh wait, the corporations don't believe in "trickle down", do they. They are likely to trash the economy just to give Trump what he wants.
