My entry for Cachomon 's regional variant contest.
I chose to create an alolan version of my channel mascot, Absol.

New Pokémon Species: Absol from Alola
Type: Psychic
Ability: Forewarn/Super Luck(HA) Mega: Magic Bounce
Pokedex Info: Only found in Alola, this form of Absol is in tune with its psychic abilities and foresight. These Absol are stronger at night and are said to be able to see into the future and sense spirits. This Pokémon is often the preferred Pokémon of choice of both fortune tellers and mediums alike.
Evolution Line: Mega evolves with the Absolite
Habitat: Alolan Absol can be found in the cave on Mount Lanakila, in Tapu Village, and around the entrance to the Altar of the Moon.
Why the change? Because Alola is protected by the Tapus, the Absol that were brought over had hardly anything to foresee and warn the islanders about. This allowed them to test the limits of their foresight and start to become in tune with their inner psychic abilities. The more their bodies adapted to this change in psychic power, they started to grow stronger at night and were drawn to the Altar of the Moon. Nobody knows exactly what it is that they see when they visit the altar, but it is believed that Lunala helps grow their strength at night.

Extra: In the early development of Type: Null's concept, three Alolan Absols were taken in by Aether Foundation. However, those three Absol no longer reside within the facility. Aether Foundation President Lusamine said that they had been released back into their natural habitat to live out their lives. After the defeat of Aether Foundation, it was revealed that those Absol never made it back into the wild. They had been used as a base for the creation of Type: Null.
