Bio: The Flying Colors are an allusive group of heroes who have protected parts of the East Coast for many years. They are led by the Crimson Eagle, and are fashioned with special exoskeleton suits that grant many abilities and advantages, some unique to each team member. Indigo Owl is the youngest member of the team, but is also the only member with real superpowers. Golden Hawk uses magic, but hers are actual abilities. She has the power to communicate with birds and read their thoughts. This proves useful for reconnaissance and espionage, while Indigo Owl just enjoys the company of birds and having them around. Her suit also grants her many blade-type weapons like talons in her gloves and feet, as well as retractable blades in her wrists.

The Flying Colors used to be an independent superhero team. But after a terrible incident involving Dalgos the Treacherous which nearly destroyed an entire city, they were hired by the Superhuman Control and Regulation Squadron - also known as S.C.A.R.S. - to limit superhuman activity in public life. Through this organization, they came into contact with many other heroes, vigilantes, hero teams, and of course villains of all classes of superhumanity. They were heavily involved in the pursuit of The Beholders and Tenfold, two of the larger teams of vigilantes in the state. Over time, however, the members of the Flying Colors realized that the intentions of S.C.A.R.S. conflicted with their own, and they left the organization.
