As he grew, his ego grew out of control and he came to believe that the entire world revolved around him.
A result of this mindset was that he became something a womaniser, since other people obviously existed purely for his own amusement. While in a "relationship", he was found by his "partner" to be seeing three other girls at the same time as her. While he slept in the bed of one of his other girls, she broke into the house, up to their room and slashed his face with a knife. The girlfriend was arrested, Davide lost all of his other girlfriends, needed several stitches and the resulting scandal and scarring ended Davide's modeling career.
While recovering in the hospital, Davide was approached by a mysterious person, offering him the ability to regain his now diminished fame. Davide acknowledged his ruined career and accepted, though he became delusional and believed he had not been scarred at all. His new infamy would come from his involvement with The Seven Deadly Sinners as the narcissistic Pride.
