Description A quick sketch of a character from "Best Served Cold" by Joe Abercrombie. It's a really good book. I like it a lot.

Thank you! ^_^
Yes, I like Nick Perumov, and read his books for twenty years.
Met several times with him at festivals.
As with Abercrombie.

Oh, I see! I've only known about both those authors for perhaps .. hm, five years? Thanks to a lot of random looting in second hand shops and my mother's book collection... x) But it's fun! They both have interesting ways of creating characters and building a story. It would be interesting to meet them and see what kinds of people they are. But well... festivals. Book signings. So many people there, ugh :/ Am not sure if it's worth it

As he sang one Russian bard:
Reading books is a good thing, but dangerous as dynamite.

I'm very curious how you started to read Perumov?
If with Abercrombie all clear - he was translated  even in "barbaric Muscovy". In Russia. )

How do you have an interest to Perumov?
>It would be interesting to meet them and see what kinds of people they are.
I got great pleasure from communication!
It was a smart interesting people who have something to say!
This is not surprising - they're writers!

>Book signings...
I have books autographed by both authors. )

>So many people there...
Don't like a large crowd of people. But I think it's a valid price to pleasure!

About Perumov: my mother had for some reason the first two books from "The Keeper of the Swords" which I found among her JRR Tolkien books. I don't know why these particular books are translated into Swedish and seem to be more popular here than in, as an example, England. (Since fantasy fiction is not always considered very... cool(?) or high-status here in Sweden) But that is the series I've read so far, though only eight books. Have yet to complete the series :/ It's a lot of text and it takes time, simply to collect all the books. But the characters grow on you! And I've come this far, one day I will finish them all!
Is Perumov a known author in Russia or is it just fantasy-readers who know of him?

Oh, I understand! Well, yes, it is true. It would be an experience and in the end you usually turn things like that into treasured memories. I will keep an eye open if any of them happen to be in Sweden sometime ^^

Oh, Perumov is one of the most popular Russian writers of science fiction and fantasy!
Good luck with your collection!
Hopefully, sooner or later, translate everything!

About his visit to Sweden...
Ask him via a social network. )
After all, his "Chronicles of Hervard" based on Norse and European mythology. )

Oh, I see! Science fiction as well? I thought he only wrote fantasy but perhaps it's only fantasy which have been translated here :>
Thank you

That is a fair point, I will check it out!

Perumov told me so:
"Kirill, странно, на шведский переведен весь Хранитель Мечей + Кольцо Тьмы, то есть всн главные мои книги не выпущены Череп на Рукаве/Череп в Небесах, Терн и остальное, ну и последние книги. Наверное, спрос среди Шведов недостаточен. Швецию я посещал в 2009 году, выступал в Стокгольме и Гётеборге. А вообще скажите, что можно писать напрямик мне - в ВК том же. "

Kirill, weird, on the Swedish translated the entire Guardian Swords + Ring of Darkness, that is all key my books not released Skull on the Sleeve/skull in the sky, Turn and rest, and the last book. Probably, the demand among Swedes to be insufficient. Sweden I visited in 2009, performed in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In General, tell me that you can write straight to me in VK the same.

Perumov is open for communication with his readers.
You can easily find him!

It's so difficult to find an official website where I can actually understand what it says :c I'm so bad at languages...... x)
But, what is VK? I found that website (I think?) but I did not quite understand it... But if I had any question to Perumov this would be the easiest way to reach him?

My apologies, could not go online and reply.
I'm so sorry! *^.^*
VK - is the Russian and international social network.
Check there simple. )
vk.com/nickperumov - page the Perumov, as you can guess by the title.

Most likely Perumov have an account in Facebook.
But this network I for some reasons do not use.
Perumov, the second dozen years of living in America one hundred percent he's there!

That's no problem! Hope you sorted the problems out
Ah, I see! It was my guess it being something close to facebook.

Facebook isn't for everyone ^^ (it's a good way to spy on people though....)
I couldn't find him there (facebook) so - - oh well, I'm too tired to search x) But thanks for the tips though! c:

Hi!
Searched Perumov in Facebook and also not found!
So I recommend all to register in VKONTAKTE.
As I recall, now it is possible to choose as the main language is English.
And don't bother about espionage.
In the end it is good old tradition.
Our President as a "past" intelligence officer.

Seriously, our intelligence agencies are looking for extremists and other enemies of the people.
You and I are not their target audience.
Along with the language of practice.

Hello again.
Ah yes, I will look it up! At the moment I'm still too lazy but hopefully I'll drag myself up soon enough.

I wasn't worried about that but now I am xD What, your president was an intelligence officer? I didn't know that, but well, I know nothing. I stay away from any news, it makes me nervous.
But yes, I can imagine our discussion about book authors and the use of the english language wouldn't really give any useful information for intelligence agents. *phew* ^^ (Which is good, since it's interesting to talk to people from different countries and hear any "inside information" about small things. The media have a tendency to twist things around :/ )

I'm so very sorry!
Work literally devoured all my free time!
November passed so that to blink was not in time.
Bang, and it's already December.
Ahead just a couple of weeks of the New Year...
I work in a bookshop (mostly) store.
And due to the approaching holidays, there's a natural bedlam!

With real people is always interesting to talk to. )
Statesmen can argue, to intrigue, to Excel in demagoguery.
But normal people (in the best sense of this word) are always with each other agree.
I think that our media also not a hundred percent objective.
But it's inevitable.
And well, there is the opportunity to learn what's going on in another country from the inside.

No worries! I've been up to a lot of stress and school, being completely absorbet in myself x)
Oh, a bookstore (mostly), how nice~! Is it a local store or some sort of bigger company? I can imagine it's a lot to do this time of the year, with Christmas and New Year-holidays and such. Are most people in Russia christians? Or? I really don't know... in Sweden people actually tend to be neutral considering religion. But we still have Christmas. Traditions, you know.

Media always search for smashy headlines in order to sell as much as possible. Then they probably tend to twist stories and facts to fit the audience, that being the people living in whatever country you might consider.
