Description Nestly: Cute little scene from a Dragon-Snails story I was thinking about.
There's also a character here I haven't introduced in the comic yet, but oh well. I'm slow, lol.

Also apparently the planets in this world glow. Yep.

Enjoy. xD

Nice one. Also that unintroduced character looks a bit like a certain pokemon. xD

Anyway, glowing planets are much more fun than the dark ones.

PS
If you want me to, I could do the animation in Flash for you. It's not that big of a deal if you just have to add pictures in your swf file. (I would need the original psd file or a png sequence (multiple png images) for that, though.)

Thanks. XD And I guess he looks a bit like uh... some ghost Pokemon I guess. Shuppet or...? the one that looks like a marionette. Is that what it looks like? XD I always thought he looks like those enemies from Kingdom Hearts.

Yes indeed, thanks. xD!

If you want to then sure, go right ahead! OwO I honestly hate how my new version of Flash works, and I have never gotten around to learning the new methods, so that's why I don't wanna deal with it. I can send ya the PSD file with all the frames on it to an e-mail or something I guess.

I was thinking more of Banette (evolution of Shuppet) but who cares. xD
Sent you a note with my email adress.

Awww thanks! Hopefully I'll draw it out one day! ^^ But right now Dragon-Snails seems to have turned into a gag-a-day type comic.

Nothing wrong with that, I think it's awesome!

Thanks I'm glad you do!
I guess I'm just trying to decide right now if I should do actual stories as well, along with the single pages.

I really like that idea, too! But it's all up to you! Oh, that rhymed. XD

I have mixed feeling about the limited color-table; It adds some character in some places but doesn't look good in other.

I'd be curious how it looks without the color-table?

Are you talking about the pixelation? The darn gif kinda cut it up. 8( Here's what the PNG looks like: [link]

Color table?

CodeAndReload In reply to Nestly [2012-08-20 02:41:23 +0000 UTC]

GIF images have a palette of 256 colors, one of which can be transparent.

When you create a GIF the image is converted to the best-fitting palette. There is one palette per image and the palette spans all of the frames.

Hmmm. Okay. So is there a way to get it to... not pixelate like that? I'm not very good at understanding the process, sorry.

CodeAndReload In reply to Nestly [2012-08-20 02:53:27 +0000 UTC]

Not really. There is animated PNG (apng) that is pretty bleeding-edge, and some browsers don't support (and I can't guarantee dA won't strip out the frames anyways).

You could also do video, which I don't think would be worth it.

If you did the animation in Flash, I would upload a swf. If you did it in Photoshop, I'd add all the frames to the timeline in Flash and upload the swf.

Nestly In reply to CodeAndReload [2012-08-20 03:29:58 +0000 UTC]

Right. I didn't know about the APNG, that sucks that it's not broadly supported, though.

And I could do SWF I guess but... ahh dealing with Flash is such a hassle sometimes. Still don't think it's worth it. XD
