Remember, if you will, your first time seeing that ship painting of Jolly Roger Bay when you first played Super Mario 64. Remember when the soothing music first touched your ears, the first time swimming in that deep water, the first time seeing the pirate ship, the first time meeting the eel, and the first time exploring the underwater cove.

The music to both Jolly Roger Bay and Dire, Dire Docks may be known as simply "Dire, Dire Docks", but it'll always be the theme to Jolly Roger Bay to me, and it'll always make me think of that pirate ship.

Ah, memories.

Been a while since I did something big like this, and despite knowing that there are so many things that are probably wrong, I'm really satisfied. Tried reflective surfaces with Glumper and Taiba's nose, and the red coins. Also, I tried some wood texturing and night time lighting. It's not the best, but I'm still happy with it either way.

Sketched in oC 4.5, inked and colored in SAI, watermarked in Paint.NET, and drawn while listening to Dire, Dire Docks for hours on end. I'll never get sick of that song.
