Description You know what the funny part is? Nobody is really looking at the stripper hehe. I guess I probably took 4 days on this drawing. We've had no school for a week now do to rains (well our dumbass president really wants to make us all lazy, it almost hasn't rained here. Tho missing school is still very fun ) so I had to find something to do.
I decided to draw a Venezuelan model I discovered recentley, Jeniffer Anselmi, whom I thought was REALLY beautiful, probably one of the hottest woman in this country. But other than that, I also wanted to practice with putting different colored light sources onto my character, like the pale, light blue highlights to her sides. I've seen that different colored light sources REALLY add to the mood and also to the realism of the painting so I thought, I gotta learn how to do this. I used a tutorial to help me with this here [link] . I also used some references, for the upper half of her body, the background, and the shirt. The shorts and the lower half of her body were pretty much improvised from memory (I'm pretty much expirienced in drawing jeans and jean shorts already). Done in Photoshop CS4 with my Wacom Tablet.

Man, I must confess I thought Β«yes, I spotted her, it's obvious!Β» Just didn't realize the stripper was actually the one in the back... So you were right in the end!

This drawing is absolutely splendid. What I admire is extending the original picture with others and recreating from memory while respecting proportions... Shading is stunning. *killadroid is right, you're progressing damn fast! Keep it up!

You've pretty well succeeded in focusing onto the foreground. The blurring effect and the black/cyan background/secondary characters simply are winning ideas!

[BTW Is that a rabbit to the right? ]

Thanks alot! Haha yeah I knew the characters would definilty add this like underground feel to it, sort of like a star wars cantina haha. And the guy in the BG to the right is actually not a rabbit but a punk, if you see well, he's got three spikes on his head. However, the idea of making it into a huge rabbit wouldn't be bad at all...

Me: "Doctor, I have a serious problem!"
Doctor: "What is it Chris?"
Me: "Every time I look at the The Strip by I hear angels singing and I see a bright white light! Like I'm going to heaven!"
Doctor: "That's normal Chris, that's what EVERYONE sees! It's because it's such an amazing painting, it distorts the human senses. Nothing to worry about"

Seriously though, you get so good so fast! You pulled the references in and made them work together so perfectly . The neon colors, the guys face, and the stripper in the background all look very nice . Not to mention the model up front is TOO sexy!

You're definitely my favorite painter man Really.

HAHAHAHA wow I really laughed with your comment man, thanks for realxing me, I just finished two of my university applications so I was kind of stressed out hehe. Yeah I know, believe me, I'm AMAZED at how this drawing turned out, I didn't know I could achieve something THIS detailed. I remember it was kinda hard trying to get the rest of the model's body right, I wanted it to be exactly like her, big hips and well, all the rest haha. Thank god I had other magazines with full body shots of her. There were other things that just came along the way, by accident. Like the blue on the shirt. It was originally meant to be black, but I think my color pallette was set to like indigo so I laid the basics and was like, wait, Indigo looks better! And I kept at it. The guys face, hahaha that one was pretty easy, that was my exact expression after seeing her on the cover of the magazine. Seriously, I wouldn't pay attention to the stripper either if I had her in front haha. But anyway, thanks for all the compliments! Positive remarks like these are the fuel to keep me drawing till insanity! Hahaha.
