Li flew at Tholaxxius, mouth open and claws out. Tholaxxius sideslipped away, but Li still got a mouthful of wing. She tore away the thin skin and blanked as she climbed. Tholaxxius roared in fury and breathed fire in Li's wake. It didn't do any good. Like him, she was immune to fire, he may as well be blowing hot air at her. He flapped his wings and climbed after the fast rising Li. He snapped at her tail, from which he barely managed to catch the whipping tip between his jaws. He jerked her out of her graceful ascend and into a thumbing fall. Li uttered a savage roar, twisted her body around and shot downwards like an arrow. When her heavy body collided with his, the force of the impact shook the ground.

Jerome, Eva, Jon and Joe, who had been watching the titanic battle with fascination, were knocked off their feet. When Jerome managed to get back on his feet and cleared the dust from his eyes he could see the two battling dragons rise from the ravine again. The violence of their beating wings almost knocked him down again. "What are they doing?! Are they fighting each other?" Jon yelled at Jerome as he peered from behind the boulder where he had taken cover.

"Well, either that or they are mating." Jerome said slyly as he turned his attention back to the two battling dragons.

"R..really? You think so?" Stammered Jon. "I mean, I think they are fighting, look at how he's biting her and why would he try to grab her like that if not to hurt her?"

"That doesn't mean anything." Jerome replied with a grin. "Why, on my wedding night....but that's not important right now, is it? We better get out of here while we still can."
