Description The Dogo Mwovu are a kind of mischievous spirit, always ready to cause ill and suffering on people.

According to some legends, they are the corrupted and warped survivors of a long lost civilization. The Dogo Mwovu are stealthy and deceitful and will implement any method to harm people and animals of any age and kind. Luckily, they are not especially brave and will quickly run if believe to be in danger. They only attack directly when superior in number or against obviously non combatant foes.
Mwovu attempt to infiltrate into their victim’s habitat without being noticed. Some even are known to get into houses and schools pretending to be normal children.

Here, five known kinds of Dogo Mwovu are depicted but more could exist.

From right to left:

Dogo Mdhana are known as the pest chanters. They get into human houses or other buildings without being noticed and hide. Then, they start chanting with an almost imperceptible tune, calling their best friends: pest, bad luck and plagues. As long as the Mdhana keep hide chanting (which can last indefinitely), sickness, accidents, filthy rats and poisonous bugs will impregnate the place.

Dogo Harabu are the less subtle, most violent and strongest among their kind. They prefer a more straightforward approach to harming creatures than the other Dogo Mwovu. Hitting with a club, stabbing with a knife and even pushing through the stairs are they typical tactics. They are still quite coward and almost always attack from behind, but are known to openly kill smaller opponents like children or little animals. Sometimes they drown swimmers by holding them through their feet.

Dogu Zandiki are masters of confusion. They delight on making people lost. Zandaiki are good at making people-like dolls and they can make their voices sound like they want. Feigning to be lost children, they guide humans to traps on the woods or deceive them into jumping at the sea to rescue fake drowning ladies. They are also quite good at building traps and some of them use special fumes to weaken their victim’s perception.

Dogo Mbakaji are lust driven spirits. At night, they get inside houses without being noticed. Then, they search for some sleeping victims. Once ready, they use a blowgun with paralyzing darts, and start raping the helpless victim. They most favorite prey are virgin women, but if not founded they will rape almost anything. Woman, males, animals and even some have been caught infraganti trying to rape animate objects. They are specially despised because it’s said that a woman that have been filled with a Mbakaji’s seed will give bird only to sick and dumb children.

Dogo Wimbi are saboteurs who delight in breaking all that they touch. They are particularly quick to work and specialize in cutting joists, ruining wheels and untying ropes. Other Dogo Mwovu appreciate their work, because Wimbi always break lances, bows and other object that can harm them first. Crumbling houses, docs and stables are always on their agenda.
