Vision: I absolutely love the vibrancy of this piece and the glow that it gives-not just to your eyes, but to your heart. The dragon itself really stands out, and even though the colors all seem to mend together, everything has its own unique appearance. Nothing overlaps other parts of the drawing, and the color is awe amazing.
Originality: This piece really stands out and it is like nothing I have seen before. Although the majority of artists have drawn a dragon in their life and there are many artworks of dragons, this one is different in its own way. The stars and moon add stunning light to the drawing, without stealing too much attention away from the main part (which is the dragon). I have never seen anything like it: a graceful, yet friendly-looking dragon with vibrant colors, lifting its head in the bright night sky as the moon and stars shine down, lighting up his/her scales/skin. I have seen before many drawings of dragons and fantasy creatures in the sky, or in front of a starry sky, but this is for an ASSessment as you mentioned, so besides that...Very well done!
Technique: I am amazed with the lighting and shading of this piece. Nothing is overdone and it all fits together very well. Despite the dragon's expression showing happiness and wonder, the scene gives me a very majestic and mysterious vibe. The color in his/her eyes gives me the feeling that this dragon belongs there, that he/she is destined to be there. However, the eyes seem to be a bit plain and the shape of the eyes is a little bit dull. As I mentioned above, the lighting and shading is beautiful. Good work!
Impact: All in all, this piece is astonishing! Your teacher/professor (or whoever is marking you on your assignment) will be very proud and in awe. The warm-hearted feeling it gives off, even though the drawing takes place during the nighttime, is just amazing. The first impression this piece had on me was great! The moment I clicked to look at it I knew my eyes wouldn't be disappointed. Thanks for this amazing drawing and I'd love to see more!
