Description
This is a Premium Commisison for a very dear and kind friend, I always enjoy looking at her work, you should all go and see what she can do!
Anyways, this is Luo, enjoying a rare moment of peace and solitude to observe insects in the rainforest near his tribe. As soon as I read about his penchant for studying insects, I got this image of him discovering a small horde of bright blue beetles, so I just had to illustrate it!

Bugs are scary, but those blue beetles are adorable! The textures on the trees is magnificent and the bright vines contrast beautifully with them.
The colors are so vibrant and alive! And Luo's little paws are supah cute.
I would live in a forest like that in a heartbeat!

Oh my goodness gracious Gin, you did such a wonderful job with Luo! I don't even know where to start! His expression is perfect, the colors are so gorgeous and lush, and all those little textures are amazing! AW MAN, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

happy that you love this so much! I can just feel you smiling from way across the internetz.
I really wanted to make his setting natural, but interesting and bright. Interaction with his favorite things: insects, was also a must! I had a real clear vision of what I wanted to do for this one, whereas I usually just start working and se where I end up. I think it's because I had an actual story to go on, which is nice!
