characters for a hanzel, a comic im drawing based on the grimm brother's hansel and gretel.hanzel is a somewhere around 10 year old sheep butcher living with his drunken father and stepmother. he's been helping out with the job forever and is kind of disconnected from reality because of the environment.
to avoid complete zombification personality-wise, he ended up with multiple personality disorder.
gretel is his secondary personality.
er, yeah. i wanted to draw them together, so i drew the scene where they first find that something ate their trail home. P:

That's the sign of a good artist/writer. Always striving for perfection, always editing. At some point you're going to have to see it through the eyes of your viewers/readers and just be as satisfied as we are.

That'll NEVER be the case! Certainly there are overly critical people, but I've found that those people suffer from incurable insecurities rather than a high level of artistic knowledge. Certainly you know the old adage, "an artist is his own worst critic?" It's the sign of a conscientious artist to strive for perfection, but what is evident to you will pass unnoticed by everyone except the most insecure nitpickers.
