Description
this is a special commission made by a close friend, she's practically like family,
these are her two cats - Cassie (left) and Dinky (right), one of them passed away a while ago, and the other passed away more recently, they're now reunited chasing catnip stuffed toy mice in heaven!

Program used - Pixarra TwistedBrush Open Studio
Tools used - Wacom Bamboo Tablet and pen
Brushes used - Airbrush, Blender, Pen brush, Oil Brush, Burn and Dodge tool.

yeah, surprisingly i'd never met these cats, when i went to visit once they were out, but it was a real pleasure painting these.

I was just indicating that it was hard to believe this wasn't real, haha. It took me two minutes to realize it was a drawing, so I was in disbelief. x)

the way you paint fur is just amazing, so realistic its like i'm looking at my own cat

thank you, this was an experimental new technique - well, a new brush - i drew every hair with a pen brush on smallest 4pixel size and then blended the edges of the cats fur to make it less... um... sharp?? if that sounds right, with the brush the lines seemed a bit too crisp, so i blend outwards, it helps but i end up with a rotten grey shadow, kinda, between the fur edge and the background, i don't know how to get rid of that at all, and in some pictures it ruins the painting... :/
