I used to know a guy who lived in Hulme, he said there were loads of vehicles parked up around the blocks, sounded amazing, never went there unfortunately.

Дуже гарно! Ваші роботи неймовірно реалістичні! Як Вам вдається досягти такої точності в зображеннях?

Yes, the dog in the window is a lovely little detail! I did this painting from an old photo and I like the fact that the dog was watching the photographer as he took the photo. Now, in the painting, the dog looks at the viewer! The photo was taken 30 odd years ago so the dog has long since passed on, but he'll live forever in the painting!

There is a hint here of why I like painting scenes around my home city.  Places and fashions change over a relatively short space of time.  In a way, it is like capturing a slice of history.  Keep up the good work.

Thank you! Out of all the different subject matters I paint, this series of works remembering the travellers, the festivals, and as in this one, the vehicles we lived in, they are my favourite paintings and a historical record of times gone by!

yes...it is good to have  images that bring back vivid recall of  days gone by....even better when you have created them!
