I'm having mixed feelings about this one.
It's actually for school (wow seriously, I get to paint my own Inheritance concept art in school and I get to do it digitally? this is paradise 
) and I believe this will be good enough for my teacher, but personally I'm not that satisfied. : PI believe she turned out looking too cartoony for my taste... I'm content with the way her body looks, but it was difficult to balance her being a very strong dragon and at the same time being "built for flying." Also, the scales? gah I don't know. :s I think I overall did a pretty good job, but I would lie if I said she looks like I imagined her in the books.. o_o

This is well done. Though I'm not a digital artist so it's hard for me to judge.
As for how I pictured her, she was more feminine looking. I think if you put her jaw as a overbite instead of an underbite she would look more female.
But her wings and muscles are AMAZING! Seriously, I cannot draw muscles to save my life. XD And I stick at drawing bat-like wings as well, though I'm getting better.
I pictured her with less of an arch in her back and much thicker, but now that I'm thinking about it that might be more appropriate considering she is "built for flying". I never thought about that before.
As for the huge horns on her head... does she have those in the book? I can't remember.
All in all, a pretty epic piece. Keep it up please!

Yeah that's probably true! And thanks, I've practiced painting muscle and anatomy on dragons so I'm glad you think it looks good!!
The horns are mostly just a personaal preference I think, can't really remember either if she really had those. ^^
