My best advice is to just keep drawing. I've been on dA for... like 10 years? And I've posted a BUNCH of art. You gotta tag everything properly too so people can find it in searches! And also try to upload your work in as many places as possible: I used to put each of mine in 3-4 groups on dA where people saw it and decided to look at my account. Another thing is be consistent! People don't want to follow accounts who barely post. Try to post once a week or every two weeks so followers can always look forward to seeing content from you.

Overall, just focus on bettering yourself. As you start to grow and improve as an artist, followers will start to notice you more. The follower count isn't as important as you enjoying doing art. Make art for you, not for an arbitrary number on a screen. That said, drawing stuff people want to see (usually fanart) tends to draw in bigger audiences. My most popular deviation is a MLP I didn't even draw since I used a flash maker, but because it's Michael Jackson, people like it.

I've been on dA for a looong time haha. But you can get people to notice you by A. Making sure you use the right tags, and B. Upload as many places as you can! I shared a lot of my art to 3-4 different groups where other people noticed it and decided to follow me. Sometimes following someone will end up with them following you back, too (but don't follow people just for this). It really just takes time! And you gotta post consistently. Not every single day, but if you only post once a month, people might not want to follow you because you don't make enough content.

My best advice is just keep going forward and trying to improve yourself! The follower count isn't as important as you enjoying your art and continuing to improve it. The more you build yourself, the more followers will start to notice you.

Ahh stress, I feel you there xD Awesome Still no job for me, been out of college two years and only had 1 job that turned out to be temporary, wasn't told until a week before I left. But I'm writing and am looking into self publishing my stuff to start with hopefully I can get somewhere.

 I worked at a school, but they weren't diverse employers. One guy I mainly worked for didn't really like the fact I have a disability. Thanks! it finally feels like I've found something I'm decent at, hopefully I can get somewhere because it'll be all about my skill and talent rather than my physical capability.

Society sucks I might be disabled but I'm not 'disabled enough' to qualify for things like disability benefit money or an adapted car so I'll never be able to afford to drive. Someone on my college course asked me how I'd live if I didn't get the disability benefit, I said "I'll earn a living like everyone else."
She said "yeahhh....you keep telling yourself that." The bitch xD
