Gouki's story is pretty complicated, mostly because we haven't spent the last 20+ years mulling over it, and because it consists of a LOT of characters that we never saw before.

I recognize Gouken as well. I think the guy next to the one with the glasses is the old master from the original Street fighter (SFI), I can't recall his name.

I'm not sure. I think he was a smaller man, but had died of old age before Gouki became "Akuma".

No, this old master I'm referring to was the one of the guys Ryu fought in the first street fighter game. There was some chatter some time ago than he might come back, lacking most of the Shotokon (sp?) special moves but would have some of his own that might just be worse (Similar to Takuma Sakazaki/Mr.Karate).

I get it one more question before he became Akuma he was Gouki. He became Akuma because he accepted the dark hadou for Power right ?

Using the Anime Street Fighter Alpha, as a lead on, I would guess so. But that hit me wrong as it not being a choice. Like Evil Ryu basically not having a say in his "HULKing out" and it all simply stemming from him getting too strong and too angry at the same time. As Ken is much more likely to go that way for various, some honorable reasons (Defending his family), SNK/Playmore's riff of "Violent Ken" makes more sense. That said "Dark Hadou" is more of an excuse to make someone a bad guy, like the "Dark Side of the Force".

The less mystical route would be that Gouki was simply murder-prone from the start and just explored it very aware of what he is doing and why. Killing Gouken, when he clearly did not need to, is likely that murder streak. That Gouki/Akuma has never killed someone except in a Deathmatch or Mortal Combat (With a "C", specifically to kill the other guy), means he is not "evil" and murderous, just willing to kill. Taking Gouken's beads is not clear to me, but i would think it is because, he did murder Gouken and it eats at Akuma a little all the time. Akuma Regrets killing Gouken.

I don't think any of the comics are official cannon (don't quote me on that) but they do have some interesting stories and very nice artwork.
