The portrait started out with a more dynamic pose, I swear! Anyway, my first "real" practice for this (short) holiday, was trying out a new brush in Photoshop and refining skin tones!

Ellana is wonderful. Just look at those pensive eyes... And now Diana Krall is banging in my ears.
I think you picked the right pose. There are many dynamic ones, but this particular stance makes you focus on Ellana, take all the details in. It offers a much more lasting experience. I love it.

Thanks! I wanted to show her hand at her face, like she's touching her vallaslin or something but somehow it didn't quite work out; doesn't help that I can't colour hands well.
