It was her work ethic that had initially attracted him to her.

The only thing to describe that first moment of when Dr. Narra had first laid eyes on Dr. Yu, was just how natural she looked to him. He had been around plenty of asaris in Huerta; some turian, but more humans and salarians. But never could he see them in the same light that he had viewed Dr. Yu.
The austerity of her every word and manner had served only to enhance and bring out the passion that she had for the profession. Although youthful at their first meeting, it had already seemed that she had outgrown wanderlust and had resolved to devote herself to more practical and meaningful occupations. He could not have imagined her in nothing else but doctor... Hence, the reason for how fitting she had seemed in the medically sterilized environment.
That seriousness about her and the confidence she had carried herself in the wings of hospital labs had appealed greatly to his idea of 'an upstanding individual'.

While he had gotten to know her and admired many of her other qualities such as her sincerity for others and resourcefulness and creativity to resolve any problem that arose... it was, inevitably, her assiduity that continuously impressed him and ameliorated his opinion of her.
It was also a source of concern that he had for her, as she was always trying to match his hyperactivity in thought and function. It would not be a long shot to say that the two of them could be equals in virtually every aspect as medical professionals; but she lacked the salarian stamina that he possessed to be considered his equal in their profession.

How strange it was that despite her competitiveness with him and the expected arrogance he had from being one of Huerta's top doctors; the two were the closest of friends and complimented and completed one another. The incidental attraction that he had had for her had developed into a profound platonic affection. Albeit evermore competitive with the salarian doctor, she too returned the sentiments of friendship on a great and personal level.
It was an ongoing joke among colleagues and friends in the workplace that the two were as close and explosive as an old married couple.

As he was apt to do, he headed towards her office to see her during one of his momentary breaks. There were no patients that needed his immediate attention and he held seniority which allowed him some privileges to go along with the greater load of responsibilities.

From the doors, he could already see that she was totally engrossed in her work. It was not an uncommon sight for her to even collapse from fatigue right at her desk.

The doors opened with an audible wwhhoooshhh and still she did not seem to acknowledge that there was a new presence in her office. Dr. Narra wondered what, indeed, was so interesting to her that she could not even turn her eyes away. He clasped his hands behind his back, treading quietly on the balls of his feet. Carefully, he crept up behind her. His hands pinched his wrist when he saw what was on her computer screen.
A wide smirk flowered over his features. A brow rose up inquisitively. He bit his tongue to stifle his amusement. There was nothing to deny: the prudish Dr. Yu was looking at xenophilic pornography!
