When Vesper married Caspian Waterson, it was more of a political marriage as her mind was completely set on making things right rather than love. Caspian was perfect because of his political strategies, and not because of what he could provide his love for. Vesper also beared a resemblance to Caspian's cousin, Hilda, with their difference being their hair bangs.
