I also realized that they're kinda pricey, so you need to choose wisely.

Most of the BJDs out there, including the ones I have, are Korean. ^_^ Luts, for example, is a Korean company... But you could be meaning something different, which I wouldn't know about, since I haven't been "in the biz" for quite some time.

$2000? Erk? The SDs (super dollfies, the 60cm ones) are usually around five or six hundred bucks. The thing about them is that they are INCREDIBLY easy to customize to make completely different from what they originally look like. If you go to [link] and look up "Jeong", which Sovay is, she looks INCREDIBLY different from their normal versions, because of the different faceup I asked them to give her. (Er, faceup=facepaint/makeup)

oh, I was erring on the side of caution, because I have seen some dolls on various doll sites for around $1000-$1200, and then of course their wardrobe and all is quite expensive as well, and probably if I were wanting to get a doll that were spot-on to one of my characters I'd want all of that to be perfect. >_> it is heartening to know that there are dolls for $500-$600 <;D that is a much better starting place. yes.
