I'm so excited for this! DK and Diddy are my favorite hero duo, with K. Rool being my favorite villains. Gotta say though, it was much easier portraying DK as a bad guy than K. Rool as a good guy.Their new names are: King Donkey Kong, Diddy "Krazy" Kong, and K. Lean (Get it, because his original name's a pun on Cruel and... I'm sure you get it.)

As a huge fan of the old school Donkey Kongs, it was nice to see this in the sea of other entries.

Nice I like it, how ever i think that you should have made the back ground more sharper, distinctive and detailed. not merely brush strokes. its easy to tell where K.Rool(NOW K.Lean) is located, but not Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong(now King Donkey Kong Diddy "Krazy" Kong) are standing

Twist Fate seems to be stirring up the pot in terms of creative ideas and I honestly like the thought of the world of DK being hit by the same approach.
Super clever work on the spin around on the DK's now being the terrorizers and the lizards having to fight for the side of good, well done. Not to mention you actually have a nice idea not just simply flipping clothes or changing a few colors but rather the change of appearance for the Big King and Donkey Kong alike.
Even keeping the insane bulgy eye is a personal nice touch you kept and honestly that's a huge detail that makes up King K Rool's look. The rest of the work on DK you made sure to show off his new kingly side even with the arm bands and the twisted crown to go along with his new hench buddy, again great work. And neat to compare when you go to King K Rool and see that nice and easy laid-back approach on him, wow! The fact you'd ever see that guy legit smile and even drape over a little buddy on his shoulder to snooze, you really thought this all out what makes the hero from the villain.
And to top it off is the colors and clever idea the switch between the darker tones and shading done on the new DK to the more new cooler King K Lean. The background is a bit rough in some ways but you can see what you were going for again to better show the opposite reflection of each character and you did pretty well to go into the nice and iconic palm trees to the dismal castle of the new DK.
Keep up the promising work by all means nicholangelo and almost forgot to add good spin on a bit more of a cartoonish take on the characters. Nice to see the crew of the DK universe under a new light. *nods*

The important thing is that you did contribute something Nicolangelo and you made it you own. It doesn't matter how "good" it was compared to others, you had some fun creating a new idea that was unique to someone like yourself and that's where it counts the most. Keep drawing, love everything you create and keep being yourself. Those are the best words of wisdom I can ever leave to someone here on the DA.
