Description It's been a while since I've uploaded any watercolor work- but I've been doing it! (not as frequently as I'd like...the weather's getting cold and it's a little less pleasant to take long bike trips)
It's also been a while since I've uploaded any current art! I figured I'd take a break from posting my old Copernicus work to give you a peak of what I've been up to lately

This is a dump of some of the sketches I've liked over the last few months. Not in any particular order or in any particular theme- when I want to rest and do something for myself, I find myself pulling out my paintbrush more and more

ahaha- nope! I use really crappy strathmore sketchbook and let them get a little crinkly and wobbly. Buying expensive watercolor books makes me too nervous to sketch freely!

What I find amazing is the fact that your doodle/watercolor dump people make me want to know their story. There is more interesting character in each of these faces than in some other entire comics. Very good.

Yup! I sketch in ballpoint and then I use prussian blue watercolor

Gosh I'm always really inspired to see sketches from artists of your talent! Your style is really warm and soft, there's something very homey about it. I hope you're not offended that the humans reminded me of La Luna, one of the most touching shorts I've seen from Disney Pixar - or rather, it reminded me of your drawings! There's a sense of characters and ones nature in your faces, you can really play around with it, it's admirable (: Watercolour is such an underrated medium, I'm glad to see someone sketch so much with its help!

thanks so much! I really love making these watercolor sketches...this is the stuff I do mostly just for me. Polishing digital work can be fun and all, but my heart is more in these. I love watercolor
Also: La Luna was my favorite! A lot of my friends told me that La Luna reminded them of me...mostly because I wear a hat and a moustache and dress like all the actual characters in the film

Yeah, it shows, I think. Your style is so relaxed in these and nothing is too rushed or anything. You have a way of putting those strokes down (: I wish I'd be even as half as good as you with watercolours, me and the medium have a love and hate relationship.
- It was? I think it was the best thing in the Brave blueray that I saw! And oh my gosh, you're actually right! What if you're the boy in it grown up? Wow

Oh wonderful, I have been looking forward to more of these! I really love the subtle washes you use to indicate skin tone and light shadow. And as always your landscapes are just beautiful.

thanks! It's nice to have watchers who appreciate the watercolor work- it's pretty much my favorite thing to make, since it's a lot more relaxing than my digital work, so I'm glad it's found an audience of some sort!
