My first Final Fantasy XIII-2 fan art! And who better to draw than the star of the show - Serah Farron.

I've played the game non-stop from night 'til dawn yesterday. Can't play during mornings or afternoon. Our city's experiencing A LOT of blackouts.

That aside, FF 13-2 is quite a change from the first game - lots of new things I love and equally a lot of things I didn't love that much.

And Serah here, well I don't dig her as much as I did Lightning - but she's still a pretty nice and likable character. I drew her here doing a badass pose (she can be badass sometimes. ) Like she's unleashing her Ultima Arrow. Then I added some random background. You can see the shape of Cocoon there, some random rocks/buildings and some splashes of bright pastel colors. Btw, it's always a tricky task to draw characters looking up (face angle is hard), let alone using a bow and arrow. I still can't figure out how Serah's bow works (although I did manage to find out how exactly she holds the bow by looking at screenshots and other references - it has a handle on the side).

NEVER saw her loading arrows in it. I hate her weapon. Not that it looks bad, it's just hard to draw. Complicated weapons... Then suddenly Caius's sword passes through my mind.

UPDATE:

Much better. Had to edit the bow. It's not supposed to be curved. The two ends are the parts that make up the blade of the sword. won't work if they're curved.
