...It's because I watched Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal again!
The last time I watched it was around high school. Man, this masterpiece never gets old. It'll always be the best anime for me and Kenshin, my number one favorite character of ALL time.
I drew this one on a thick brown folder. Kinda like the recent ones I did.
I put in some things that are significant to him like the toy top and those red flowers. So yeah, there. I have SAMURAI X MADNESS RIGHT NOW!

Favorite Anime and character indeed! Your pencil work is amazing and fits Samurai X so well. The folds of fabric in his gi and hakama look very realistic and the little touches in the surroundings-- the blood red flower petals paint a beautiful but bloody past of the hitokiri Battosai.
