Description Borg examining lightsaber
(pen with digital color - 2011)
I wanted to do something where I could practice 'painting' in Photoshop. I tend to just do a lot of lassos and gradient fills and stuff, but I don't think I ever actually painted something before. I stayed away from blend modes so that I could get a somewhat real painting experience. I did, though, use multiple layers to keep certain things from mixing. So, I did the sketch in pen, scanned it, and painted in Photoshop.

I imagine that the Queen would construct a green one for herself. There's a new idea for you: lightsaber duel between Vader and the Queen.

If the Borg were ever able to assimilate an accomplished Force-sensitive, I doubt they would be able to use the Force themselves, but with the knowledge of its capabilities in their databanks, they might be able to create ways to counter it, or at least weaken its effectiveness. (ie, strengthening regenerative shield matrices, bulding key components of the ship with Force-resistant materials...)

Fun fact- the name for the metal used for the lightsabers in Star Wars and the hulls of federation starships in star trek have the same name - Duranium. It is unknown whether or not the former was given permission to use the name of the material from the latter or if it was a coincidence. It is also unknown if the two metals function identically in each universe in terms of physical and chemical reactions.

Hmm... the colors don't 'pop' as much as they do in the original file and the .jpg version.

Your 'Force' is futile.
