Description This photograph was taken just off the road on the way towards Mary's Peak, just outside of Corvallis, OR. The road was pretty snowed in and so this is as far as we got. But it was well worth it!

It is really a place! No filters were used either! I guess I live in a lucky area where we truly get all four seasons. There are SOOO many waterfalls in Oregon, albeit many are small but even small ones can be beautiful (like this one!). During the winter months this is not an uncommon sight!

Amazing... I love the icicle 'frame.'

-sigh-
I wish I had an ND filter...

OR huh? Ever been to Mt. Hood?

Most definitely! That place is awesome! I've hit most of the mountains in Oregon at one point in time. I like Mt Ashland alot too. Oh this picture, I didn't use a Neutral Density Filter at all. Only filter I used was a UV one just basically to protect the lens lol. I did however take a RAW photo and did some post-processing work in photoshop that way (black levels, color temp/tone, fill light, etc.)

I've gone to Mt. Hood 4 times now, 5 times in 47 days (for a ski camp)... It's awesome. And Govy is sooo cool.
Haha... I still want one though... Some photos people have taken are amazing... (eg, [link] )

Yeah you really can do alot of cool things with them! I wish I had some for my bigger lenses but filters can get so expensive! I wish I was rich lol.

This is just on the coast range here in Oregon. Well this particular spot is literally right off a road going up to the tallest point on the coast range, Mary's Peak. Its just about 10 miles out of Corvallis. Definitely an amazing spot to see (especially if you go all the way to the peak)

Oregon is waaaaay to the west of Ontario in the continental United States. Its on the pacific coast and its halfway between the equator and the north pole (quite literally)!! Hope that helps
