Justing showing of Samus' Spider Ball gimmick to change things up a bit.Had a bit of fun with those beams Mother Brain's firing. I've just been experimenting like crazy with various lighting and blurring effects lately.

There's a fantastic sense of motion to all of these panels, and the love for the weapons and abilities from the games (Mother Brain's, as well as Samus') makes it even better.

I remember the first time I played the Mother Brain fight, at a friend's house. I was doing fairly well, had gotten the pattern of the ground-bombs and the rings down pretty well, to the point I wasn't getting hit at all anymore--and then, that rumble of thunder, and I demanded of my friend "what the hell was that?!"
