Description This is artwork that i commissioned from
these are all five of Salem's Nazgul in my Lord of the Rings/RWBY crossover:  Knights of Remnant: The Ring of Darkness
____

Fallen Protectors> Salem's Nazgul

____

Salem's Nazgul:

Five former Star Knights and seasonal Maidens.

You must understand, for a knight to become a Black Knight, they would have broken their vow of not taking any power for themselves and not to start a war with another kingdom. And as for the Maidens, they must not succumb to their darkness and use their power selfishly.

The following is a Dossier of each of them:

(From Left to Right)

Zyra, the Spring Harpy. Personal quote: "Those who say 'poison is a woman's weapon'... have never been more right."

She used to be the Spring Maiden that decided to poison the once lush forests of Vacuo. She was also a Hawk-Faunus, but when her darkness corrupted her Maiden powers pushed her animal traits started to intensify. She used her powers to grow poisonous plants. After years of developing toxins, she has perfected the use of them as weapons by dipping her talons in them daily. Some for paralysis, while others she use to cause her victims wounds to fester afterwards. Even after she was defeated by the Vacuo Knight, that all the plants that she infected and or poisoned died and turned to ash. As a result, Vacuo's desert region expanded to the current size today.

Radcliffe Smith, the Black Knight of Vacuo. Personal quote: "A good death is its own reward."
Not long after Vacuo's deserts grew due to Zyra's death, Radcliffe grew up believing the only way Vacuo could recover from the tragedy was by under his absolute rule. He was wise, he was strong and he was determined to do 'whatever was necessary' to ensure that Vacuo could grow strong again. But his 'Strong Vacuo' required a lot of bloodshed and a lot of oppression. He didn't hesitate... and the only regret he has, is that he should have killed the Spring Maiden of his generation when he had the chance.

Jadis, the Winter Witch. Personal quote: "It's surprising how little pain you feel when all you feel is cold."
Known to be the first of all the Nazgul to fall into darkness. In Mantel, she caused a blizzard that lasted six months. Her plan was to force the kingdom under her rule, but the people of Mantel were resilient. But she was ruthless, armies that numbered in the thousands were frozen solid by her wrath. It wasn't until the Star Knight of Mantel of the time challenged her in single combat that she was finally defeated.

Rourke Numenor, The Black Knight of Mantel/Atlas. Personal quote: "Obedience through Dominance is the ultimate power."
Rourke was a man born into the third decade of Mantel's Civil War. multiple factions rose for dominance, and when he came of age as a Star Knight, he took charge without hesitation. First he conquered the kingdom and its divided factions, then he turned his attention to conquering the rest of the world under his kingdom's flag. He believed that the rest of the world was no different to the factions he had beaten down, so he felt what he was doing was just. Before his invading fleets could leave the kingdom, he was faced by the Winter Maiden and defeated. But as he died, the maiden saw no regret in his eyes only contempt. He truly believed he was dying for his kingdom, and not as a traitor to his oath.

Jaqueline (Or Jackie), The Summer Banshee. Personal quote: "Do you think my smile is... pretty?"
Jaqueline was born in Mistral, near the lower regions of the 'Underworld of Remnant'. Her mind wasn't entirely clear, even at a young age. And when she attained the power of a Maiden, it only drove her to become something else... something dark. It was then that several murders started happening around the kingdom. Some say it was done by a Grimm, but others say it was done by a woman. It wasn't until she let one victim live that they started to call her "Jaqueline the Ripper" and how she terrorized the more higher class cities in the kingdom. The one thing that made her so scary was that she personally cut her face to expand her mouth wider, to strengthen her deadliest weapon: her voice. Withe her maiden powers she used wind to carry her voice and increase it's pitch to the point of breaking ear drums or death. Before her murder spree got too far, she was caught and killed by Mistral's Star Knight.
____

All five of these Nazgul were the banes of their generations. They killed and brutalized more people than the Grimm in their time. And each and everyone of them were resurrected by the Necromancer of Dol Guldur, with the help of Salem's dark magic. With their untimely resurrection, they now pose as high a threat as Salem herself. Radcliffe and Rourke have already taken their places as generals in her Orc army. As for the three Maidens, she uses them to aid the generals by terrifying the enemy front lines.

With the rise of these new enemies, it is evident that Salem is determined to win the Second Great War.

You based Jaqueline off of that um Japenese horror story I can't remember what it was called but that was something she'd say to you and depending on your answer she'd either haunt you or kill you I believe.

"Do you think my smile is pretty." Or something along those lines, either way interesting characters.

I've been wondering about how you portrayed magic in this story. It just that it look like everyone still knows that magic exist and only a few of them knows how to use it.  Like the only thing that might qualify magic in the show was Dust. Like how Ozpin turn Qrow and Raven into birds it that still in your story or are they like Skin changers?

Yup
“Kuchisake Onna”

I based her body off of that, and her personality off of Jack the Ripper

I was once told by my sister that the myth of Jack the Ripper might be that it was actually a woman that did the murders

So I used that thread of thinking, mixed in the Japanese urban legend, added a dash of corrupted Madien and BOOM!
The Summer Banshee, Jacqueline “Jackie” the Ripper

A woman that did the murders. Damn that actually would be more interesting if that's true.

Whether it is or not though is up in the air and I would love to read it again now looking at it as Jackie or Jacquelyn the Ripper lol

But still that's interesting thank you I now find myself curious on it even more.

When you see them in combat, their actions speak louder than looks

Especially when Jackie opens her mouth all the way to reveal a row of sharp teeth

and jackie remains my waifu of this story, her evil side be damned! pardon my french.

also i have a question for them: i would like to spar one on one with each of them. we can take it to a note if you want. why? simple, i want to see how they fair against someone who's their equal

I keep getting the Knights mixed up in my head, along with the Banshee and the Harpy. This should help to keep them separate in my head. Nice work, BTW.

The Nazgul would have a complete set of Maidens then: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. That is scary.

For a second there, I thought Rourke was looking at Jackie as if to say, "The sh*t I have to put up with..."

On another note, I'm really digging Radcliffe's armor's design and color scheme.

Rourke is thinking of that, but more toward Jackie and Zyra
But he gets along well with Jadis and Radcliffe

And Radcliffe's armor is from the villain he is replacing in the Tolkien-verse, his name was Agandaur

Now when I think about it Jackie is basically an evil Ruby. They're both Childish, have unusual weapons, and are the youngest of their respective groups. They even kind of look like each other.

That's what makes her SO dangerous
