This reminds me of Robert Bloch's short story, "The Mannikin."

Is this a mutant freak, who has an evil monkey growing out of his back, if it is I like it very much!

nicktheartisticfreak In reply to Nocric [2006-07-13 05:29:31 +0000 UTC]

i left that for the viewer to decide. it could be a monkey simply hanging on his back, or it could be growing out. given what you see, either scenario is possible. i think i like it as a mutant freak. it is interesting to see what people assume. thanks :]

It reminds me of this story about a boy, who lived 13 years with his under-develeoped twin in his stomach. The twin survived by drinking his blood. They discovered the twin by accident, because thay thought it was a tumor. They were like siamese twins, but the other twin just grew in the other one.

'That poor monkey! His hand! It just spontaneously spouted blood!'

Aha... that's what I thought at first, anyway, but now it's more like: 'That silly monkey, thinking it can get away with this... well he won't! We've got meddling ... el'teebs?'

In any case, I really like the water effect and the sun and reflection thereof. A worthy sequal, if I do say so myself.

haha. yes, thankfully we have el'teeb to save the day. i did put some thought into the sun and its reflection. i am glad that you appreciate it!
thank you :]

the messiness gives it the distressed look that it needs when monkeys are attacking from behind

hmm, good point. this painting depicts the emotional stress an attackee feels when a monkey attacks him from behind. ...yes, that's it.
