I felt like doing something with my OC. And being the massive football nerd that I am, the first career I thought of where being able to kick really hard is a strength (outside of apple-bucking) was a professional NFL kicker. To me, a nerd is just someone who knows a lot about something. Basicially, it's a synonym of expert. I play fantasy football, I study football trivia, I even work for the New Orleans Saints football team right now
