another great work of art from another great artist. it is simply grand in every way. you can see every stroke you made and it is simply breath taking. he has a stern fierce look that could stop a stampede dead in its tracks, and you showed this so well it amazing! and none the less is the time and detail in it, such as the wrinkles in the clothes to the blush on the top of the cheeks. the natural flow all threw the work is absolutely astounding. i conclude with this comment, i believe you have what it takes to be the next Picasso!

Maybe if you added a little bit more expression (I don't know if you're looking for expression....) it might be better.
I just feel like it's missing something, but I don't know what it really is.
The texture looks like a finger print if you look at it the right way, that's pretty cool.
His head is kinda squarish (I don't know if you planned it that way or not, anyways....)
Other than those things, I think this picture is really good and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

De l'excellent travail que ce Clint ronchon à souhait ^^.
Je suis toujours admiratif du travail à la plume en règle générale et là je suis d'autant plus admiratif vu la maitrise appliqué sur cette oeuvre et de nombreuses autres que j'ai pu voir dans ta galerie.
Bref, même si ce n'est pas mon style je suis malgré tout professionnellement fan de ton travail et de ton coup de plume.
J'ai hâte de voir la suite de tes productions afin d'en prendre plein les mirettes et si l'envie t'en prend n'hésites pas à donner ton avis sur mon boulot,je suis toujours preneur d'avis de pros.

When I see this I get a certain sense of longing, wanting for an unachievable goal, set far of into the distance.
Most of your work in this vain reminds me of Vincent Van Gogh's work but your strokes follow a larger and more ordered pattern versus his more chaotic swirls. Your method I find works well for these portraits as the unified swirl leads the eye past the main focus of the portrait irregardless of where your eye first lands on the painting.
I'm glad you have chosen to use plain Indian ink and shied away from the use of colour. I will say that I think the shading can in some places be difficult to see or just plain confusing. Along with at a first glance, causing me assume the light is coming from up high and on the right. Where upon closer inspection I become confused, the shading on the right hand collar seems to contradict this. I do not know if this was intentional or not and it would be my only complaint.
Overall I thoroughly enjoy your style and hope to see many more in a similar style.

Nicolas Jolly est un artiste travaillant sans cesse afin de nous dévoiler & délivrer, par le biais de son trait fin & précis, son art qui n'a de cesse de s'affiner et s'affirmer avec maturité. Cette œuvre, représentant un personnage mythique, campé par la légende qu'est Clint Eastwood, est bluffante par son réalisme. Une fois de plus, je suis conquis et épaté par cette patte ! Un jour, Nicolas se penchera, peut être, sur la question de tutoriels : je suis curieux de découvrir ces techniques qu'il utilise et maitrise...
J'ai bien souvent l'impression que Nicolas nous réserve de magnifiques surprises dans un futur plus que proche ! Artiste polyvalent, et versatile, il est une valeur sure au sein de DeviantArt mais aussi dans le paysage de l'Art... J'espère que vous apprécieriez (et appréciez) ce travail (ainsi que sa galerie éclectique) autant que moi...

The best thing about this artwork is the use of movement in the lines. Your technique is absolutely incredible and pleasing to the eye. The way that the lines curve around in an 's' formation really give it character. The shading in the portrait is absolutely phenomenal, and the expression on Clint Eastwood's face really captures his character. I love the fact that there is absolutely no stagnant space, and it is clear that you put a lot of effort into this drawing. The way you managed to draw a realistic face with nothing but Vincent Van Gogh-like lines is utterly awe-inspiring. Keep up the great work!
