This picture invokes so many possible scenarios. Of possibly a war torn city, the dust settling after the battle. Of a city partially obscured by the rain, people hurrying for cover. The smell of fire works or gunpowder lingering in the air.
I love the sparse use of colour to add atmosphere to the scene, the weathered look of the picture reflecting the look of the city within. A damaged painting of a damaged city.
It makes you want to visit Paris and take in the sights and smells, and experience the same as those people portrayed in the picture.

excellent, in comparison with your previous works I have seen this looks more dry and stoney giving a warmer feel to it
