The colors in the "first" one are brighter, and if that's what your after, then we have our winner, however I think the colors in the "new" one are softer, giving the piece a more realistic appeal to the skin tones, that being said, I like the new version.
...unless I'm wrong about everything, then I like the new one... LOL.

I like the hair and grass from the new one, but the skin tone of the old one.
If I had to pick just one, I'd say the older one.
