It could be just a way for Gwen to show affection for Cameron as a best friend but who knows what'll happen? They could end up being together.

If you think about Cam is way more stable than Cody. That's probably why she kissed him as Cam knows it was a friendly kiss.Β If that were Cody he would think there engaged. If Cam and Gwen come back in future seasons I hope that there is more attraction between the two.

No way. I thought Gwen is not into geeks or nerds. Remember back in season one when Cody tried toΒ asked Gwen out but she refuse, and he was the geek. I not saying it never going to happen, Cody is one of my favorite characters in the show and I support them as couple. So who know that she might likes geeks all along.

There's some small hints foreshadowing this moment. Ex: Courtney worrying about Gwen's reaction to her and Cameron kissing, Gwen sticking really close to Cameron when he came on her team--including grabbing him away from Serria to pair up with him--, Gwen showing even more concern about him later in the season than even Zoe, his best female friend.
At the same time, they kept the idea of these two open ended enough for those who don't support the pairing.
