Even after 20 years, one of the most bloodiest wars in history still plague our minds. The war between the SEGA Genesis and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

I myself was born on the dusk of the "glory days" of the SEGA-Nintendo wars in 1995. The first console I ever had was a SNES that I got when I was 3 as a gift from a friend, with the Super Mario World game and the All-Stars featuring rehashed versions of the original Mario games.

When I started getting into Sonic when I was 15 (I think), I first played the original games on the iPhone, and eventually found an AtGames Classic version of the Genesis at Sam's Club a few years later. Despite the AtGames having crummy quality and off-beat sound chip, I really enjoyed the SEGA games for the fast-paced action they had, and the soundtracks were pretty neat to listen to.

I still have both of them, but I honestly prefer the Genesis over the SNES, mostly because of the faster frame rate and, through an unfair advantage, having more games on it than on the SNES for obvious reasons. XP

But what do you guys think? Which console would you prefer, and why? Feel free to discuss it in the comments below if you like, and I'll take some of your points into consideration.
