"For those who are in long-distance relationships"
I actually had a long-distance relationship. Back when I lived in Pennsylvania, I met a girl through Facebook. We lived on opposite sides of the state, I was eastern PA, she was western PA. This was before I turned 18 and before I had my truck, so getting to see her was very difficult. We dated for about 2 years and only met face-to-face once. While she was practicing for a school play, her parents (and her little sister) picked me up and drove me to her house. When she came back to her home and saw me, she ran to me and hugged me tight. We even did a little cliché spin. When me and my family moved to Tennessee in 2013 (I was 15 when we moved) we continued dating for about 2 months until we both decided that it wasn't going to work out and we both went our separate ways. Some MIGHT consider this cowardly, but a few things; I was 13 when I met her and 15 when we broke up. So long-distance relationships at that age are not really the best thing to go for.
As for yours, I hope things go well and the wall between you two (a.k.a. the ocean) will come down.

And yeah, any true loving relationship can work if both sides really want it to, no matter how far apart they are.
I mean, me and Niels are 9000 kilometres away, and yet, I'll be moving to the US to be with him soon, and we're already pretty much making wedding plans
But I do agree that you were way too young back then to be dealing with that. Too young for any relationship for that matter imo.
