Description
Rorschach. The coolest character in Watchmen. One of the coolest characters ever.Actually, him and the music were the things that made me watch the movie again.
"None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me!"

This is awesome... I love how hs holding a light up--kind of like a beacon... a play on, hm, like a guide for the dead. Dunno why that association is popping into my head, but--there it is.

I Agree, Rorshach is very cool. Awesome. I like his style. What makes me angry is that he died in the movie. This wasn't cool.

Aw, he was my favorite character. I only watched the movie, but I liked Rorschach best because he didn't go easy on the worst criminals. His justice was "an eye for an eye" and maybe a little more . Can't say the creeps didn't deserve it. Comedian wasn't a hero to me, just another villain. Rorschach didn't expect any perks or payment for his justice, Comedian did, and he took it if what he felt was due him wasn't freely given.
I agree with Aether-Lupus that Ozy was just another superman, and I hate those characters, too. There's nothing to challenge them, so it's not interesting and you can't be a hero if you don't sacrifice something.
However, I love that this comic was so dark. The good guys don't win, the only one who couldn't justify such an atrocious act to save others, and I believe he was right, was killed by his own most trusted friends and comrades. I really like Frank Miller's style. He's brilliant and it's a break from the usual "hero saves the world and gets the girl" crap.

Well, I totally, and absolutely agree. What struck me most was that mentioned way of Rorschach. The unforgiving "never compromise, never surrender". Plus, he was just a man, right? No blue lights, no super speed, no super sexy legs (like silk spectre

Yeah. I like the superheroes you can relate to. I love his mask, too. Very cool. Creepier than any other hero mask out there. Some people don't like vigilantes that dish out their own punishments, rather than just tying them up for the police like Batman and Spider-man do. I Like the vigilante justice. They give the criminals what they deserve when the justice system fails. Especially in a town of famous or infamous superheroes, you know what awaits you if you get caught by them.

I think Rorschach was the best hero in that movie as well, used very direct methods and was basically a villian that was sided with the good guys. My second favorite was the Comedian; worst was Dr.Manhattan he was very Dues Ex Machina in style and very flat as a character.

I'd pick Ozymandias as my favourite, that was a great character concept, but he was well.. he seemed kinda wimpy on the outside, even with all those powers and intellect.
That's why I percieve "Watchmen" as a "Rorschach movie"

No problem, I like the Comedian and Rorschach because of their ironic symbolism, using evil to do good. NiteOwl (Daniel) and Silkspectre (Laurie) both have a common superhero attitude of doing good by being good. And Ozy is basically a dressed up Superman; and I really don't like Superman characters since their almost always invincible. What ticked me a little was the comic and the book have so much differences it's two main similarities are the start and end.

Well the reason for that further extension of choice is because you could be using multiple forms of traditional media (i.e. painting and photography) or digital media (i.e. ...well, actually that last example works here too).
But great pic. I love Rorschach. Almost went as him for Halloween this year. Decided against it, though, since I didn't think sitting around in someone's fridge would be that fun

I got that. Yet, when I mix traditional pencil, with digital colours, there's no particular category for that.
Well, fridge was one option. You could as well just take matches and a can of hairspray, and warm up the party
