Did I mention I love bats? I've never seen one in person; maybe one day.The hardest part of this was actually just choosing how to position the tiny silhouettes and how many to use. It's the type of thing I get hung up on. I'm happy overall!

awesome colors! In the last place I lived we had a major mosquito problem so the conservation people installed a bat box on a pole at the end of our driveway. They are really cool, my neighbor was being a jerk though and throwing his keys up in the air, the bat would dive bomb them at first thinking it was a tasty meal! Bats are awesome!Β

You've never seen a bat in person? I would recommend trying to go bat-watching some day--really amazing experience if you find a bat-rich area at dusk. I've had one take me for a perch briefly, so that was a very close look.

I think we're pretty scarce on bats where I live, but maybe it's time I looked a little harder. New Zealand has two species, but their populations aren't doing well, and people tend to suggest I go to Australia to look at fruit bats when the subject comes up. I really would enjoy seeing them!

I live in the Eastern U.S. where we have 22 common species of little bats! It's quite a good place for bat lovers!

Where I live, I see bats almost all the time, but not up close. They always look like fast-moving birds in the night sky that are gone too quickly.
