Description Be prepared I wrote a long story for this one. xD It's about how Jervis and Mandus leave the place where took place and before moving on to wherever takes place.

After doing their first few meager tasks as a team, Mandus was happy he and his brother had joined the Order of the Sun and the Path of Rain respectively. Though, even after finding something to put his faith in, something shook Mandus. He couldn't sleep at night and he grew more and more tired each day. What kept him up at night, what made him lay, staring at the ceiling for hours while his brother slept soundly? He didn't know how to explain it. A strong feeling of unease had overcome him since they had finished their tasks. He felt like he didn't belong there, in Tao. But why? He shrugged the feeling off until it gnawed at him constantly. He decided in the middle of the night that the next day he and his brother were going to pack up their things and leave this place. But Mandus remembered his mother. His mother's grave site is here, how could he leave it? He looked at Jervis from across the hut and slowly got up. He began to tiptoe towards the door before sneaking outside and making a dash for his mother's resting place. Once arriving, he walked towards the grave with his front paws resting one over the other. He took a deep breath with his eyes closed.
"Mother, I'm sorry for what I have done, and for what I am going to do. I'm sorry I can't tell Jervis the truth, and I'm sorry I am leaving you. But know that I love you more than anything, and that you will always be with me." He said softly, head down as if he were praying. He waited there for a while, paying his respects, and waiting to see if maybe he'd get an answer. Minutes later, he sighed, knelt down and placed some flowers he'd picked on the way on the dirt next to the rocks he'd put there the day she died. After standing back up, he began trekking back to the hut, where Jervis had remained sleeping. He snuck inside, trudged over to his bed, laid down and closed his eyes. Sooner than he'd expected, he was asleep, snoring softly.

Jervis had woke up before Mandus, yawning and stretching his arms. He glanced over at his sleeping brother before standing up and letting out another soft yawn. He looked outside. It was rather overcast that day, but that didn't bother the shiny riolu. He looked back at Mandus before smiling and suddenly running out of the hut. He ran into Tao village and went straight to Missy's  daycare. He had been asking Mandus if they could adopt an egg so that they could have a little brother, but Mandus seemed apprehensive whenever Jervis asked. Finally, Mandus had said that whenever adoptions were open next, Jervis could go pick one out. But he stressed that his brother be careful, he didn't want him breaking the egg. Jervis scoffed at the idea, he was careful. He walked into the daycare and stopped, looking around. A Blissey with a trail of young pokemon following her looked at Jervis and grinned.
"Hello! Come on in, don't be shy!" She said, gesturing the Riolu over. Jervis smiled and walked further in, greeting the small pokemon, before turning to the Blissey.
"Hi, I'm Jervis!" He said in a friendly manner, wagging his tail.
"I'm Michelle, you can call me Missy, though! What can I do for you?" She asked. Jervis tapped his paws together.
"Well, my brother and I have a team, and I was hoping to adopt a new member!" He explained. Michelle grinned and nodded.
"Okay, follow me! You can currently adopt any Normal, Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Flying, or Ground type." She said, turning and walking into a room where eggs where neatly arranged. Jervis followed behind her, immediately getting nervous at the sight of all the eggs. He didn't want to think too much about it, so he quickly pointed at a brown egg.
"That one." He stated.
"Ah, that's an Eevee egg! Good choice!" The Blissey said, before gingerly picking the egg up and turning to him. "Be very careful with it, and take good care of it." She said, a little more sternly now. Jervis took the egg in his paws and nodded, holding it securely.
"Thank you so much." He said, bowing his head to her. "I have to get back and show my brother! Thanks again!" He said, before turning and carrying the egg out.

Maybe an hour later, Mandus woke up groggily, rubbing his eyes and snorting. He turned his head and saw his brother sitting next to his bed, an egg in his lap. He rubbed his eyes again.
"Jervis? Is that an egg?" He muttered, rolling onto his side. Jervis nodded.
"Yup! You said we could get one!" He said. Mandus nodded, before getting up out of his bed. He stretched and cracked his knuckles. He sighed, looking at the floor, and then at his brother.
"Jervis, I was thinking, and I've decided we should leave Tao." He said. "In fact, we're leaving today. Soon." Jervis looked a little surprised.
"Soon? When, soon?" He asked.
"As soon as we get everything we need packed up." Mandus replied, already walking over to their basket of berries and dumping them onto a cloth. Jervis watched him, silently.
"Okay, but... What about Mom? What if she comes back and we're not here?" He asked, clutching the egg gently. Mandus winced. He had hoped Jervis wouldn't ask about that. He paused awhile, assorting the berries, thinking baout how to respond.
"I've already got that sorted out," He said, "I got a flying pokemon to bring her a message, telling her we were going on a little trip ourselves." He lied, not looking at Jervis. Jervis was quiet, contemplating the idea. And, trusting his brother's word, he nodded.
"Okay Mandus." He said, smiling.

Once the two had the bare minimum they needed for the trip, they were off, hiking out of the Creeping Forest, through Tao Village, and down a path that would lead to a new life. Some ways down the trail, Mandus stopped and looked back. He stared back at their home, lost in thought. But suddenly his train of thought was broken as his brother spoke.
"Goodbye, Tao! See you later!" He said, optimistically, before looking at his Mandus. Mandus smiled and shook his head before turning back and continuing on the path.
