nightlight β€” just a Lizzard-cult Madonna

Description ..the thought of an mythologic, abstract, omnipotent figure, or even deity, a lizzard cult madonna, longing for/dreaming of a normal human life while, ironically, reflecting her image of normality on mediocrity as depicted by the media, i.e. a nude super model on the catwalk.. the great illusion so commonly embraced.. yes?

anyways, I wasnΒ΄t going for photorealism, I chase feelings, here a feeling of dreams, religious icons, and some kind of ..um.. desert peyotish.. haze. The overdone hue/contrast/intensity of the madonna triest to replicate old painted religious icons and the "roughness" of the picture is intentional..

Took the pic down to 800pix fom the original 3500, loads a bit faster now..

thisΒ΄s gotta be the longest description ever..

It simply is a brilliant description of her.

lizzard things? lizard wings?
the wings are quite interesting (they are pointy! and have scales!) but unfortunately the rest of the picture doesn't seem to support them - this work looks a tad random, like three photos slapped together

well for a poster or a print (what way ever) is it pretty good.
but i don't know whether it's designed for a pc's desktop.
i don't think so... in that case, well... it's a very nice piece.

but if there are people who want it for their desktops, they can change the res or dpi manually after they downloaded it. should be no problem.

anyway, nice picture yepp

interesting idea and execution. i like the idea of making work big, i think this would look great big too...but my my monitor is only so small... so i can't get a good idea of how all the images work together at once. can you please repost it a bit smaller?

Faderhead: your prob right bout the gfx.. the reason its so big is that I wanted to push the limits, as I said the original was a yellow lizzard pic bout 5x5cm 72 dpi.. I was also thinking inkprinted poster (not "press" printed) which forgives a lot.
The "thought" was intended to be almost a separate picture, in order to stand out from the... reality.

dreamz13.. thanks .. I did a lot of work to get the lighting like that.. (and I had actually planned to de-size it for the posting.. just forgot)..

I dunno why nobody had commented on this yet cos it's great! The only reason I guessed is maybe the resolution is too large. I love the colors and lighting on the figure. And the thought bubble was quite an original idea.

where dreams meet reality

I like the idea, but you could improve a lot on the gfx.

1. Why is it so large? If you made it for printing, the pictures are too blurry. If you made it for the web, the whole thing is way too big.

2. Tie the elements better together. Especially the "thought" looks very separated by the clear, round edge.
