Finished.In my view this picture, combined with the title, opens enough room for your interpretation. I'm curious about your thoughts!

I think this guy was proffesionaly wasted whilst getting out of or in the car or maybe just walking past it, because if he was hit where's the damage. Probably a snitch or something but now my imagination is going nuts. Great shot love the angle definate fav

Meine erster Gedanke war:
He bought this car with what little money he had, started to fix it, but then realized that there was so much work ahead of him, and was so overwhelmed that, he passed out!
Meine zweiter Gedanke war:
He was in a terrible accident and was killed. This picture is the final image of a life that ended tragically.
You can see two things about me in this analysis. First, I tend to look at the more positive side of things first, but also, can see all sides of life (or death as it may be)... Is the first thought positive you may ask? Why yes it was because when I first saw it I laughed about the guy passing out. ( no I'm not bipolar ha ha, just an imaginative, intelligent person )

i think he just finished putting a headlight in and was wishing hed paid more attention to that side when pulling into an alleyway....
kind of a mundayne story to think of but, then again who knows what brought him to that alley
anyway i like it alot. i think the hand looks good dark, it looks a little dirty, and a little mysterious

he he he i was first thinking along the lines of he got totally wasted and passed out... but i like the death theme better... cept i would have to make a better story than i car accident... when i think of it ill tell you lol!

The problem was that the car stood near to a wall, so there was not enough place to adjust many things. The exposure was 8 seconds, nonetheless the shoot was under exposed. So if I would have lightened his hand, the whole picture doesn't look true anymore...
And yes, the hand really is the powerful element in this picture, well seen!

Two interpretation, off the top of my head...
1. A guy woking on fiking the car, but it's too wrecked and he's tired, so he takes a nap then are there.
2. Car accident.
I think the first interpretation is because the photo reminded me of the movie Grease... a darker Grease.

I like this
To me I don't see the 'finished' as death. When I look at it I hear someone say "That's it, I give up." and can imagine them lying on the car that wouldn't start, thinking about the place they couldn't get to and the journey that didn't begin. When I get frustrated I sometimes just collapse in the weirdest places to think things through so that's what this reminds me of

That is crazy sick his skin. That is. I think that the lighting is great, but he seems to "dark" unhuman. Also the crop is cool, but i think trying with his whole face would have worked also, this leaves some mystery to it tho

Nice composition and contrast. You're so right...it does leave room for interpretation. My first impression is car accident...finished meaning death. Death due to negligence. The condition of the car communicates a world of possibilities.

i really like the concept of this...i had an idea similar but it the pose and angle were different. i think the monotone you chose is a much better choice than full color. it fits the mood.
