Please note that I am aware of the editing job. It is my first attempt and would appreciate constructive criticism. Please do not leave me comments simply saying it is a "poor job" as people can't grow from that and I will ignore it.

This is a beautiful picture!
I've seen this effect in various images, of the girl levitating, I would imagine it would have to be a combination of 2 separate shots, but how do you manage this really ? If you don't mind sharing !

wow! i didn't notice this was edited at first! My only point would be on the hands, it has a different kind of shading, but other than that I really like it.

the edit is pretty darn good, but you want constructive critisism, so...
If the light source of the room is directly above here, then you need to adress the shape of the shadow, since it's be wider and keep more of the shape of her legs. If it's slightly further back, as i suspect, then you really want to bring it forwards in the scene. Posotion of the shadow is the most important thing when creating them.
The colour of the shadow also, unfortunatly, is wrong. No shadow is aproaching black like that unless it is on a very dark surface.
A shadow is ALWAYS the same colour as the surface it is covering, just darker, unless there is no light at all.
All that said, i love everything in your gallery, this included

I would like to add that the foot looks off because there is no shadow on the underside of the foot it stood out to me more then anything else. then following up the leg the shadow on her calf muscle is a bit too hard... given the ambient lighting
The top half of her arm is amazing it fits the scene very well but then the lower portion of her arm seems to jump out saying "i've spent so much time doing this im over it let's just submit and hope for the best". Personally i think you have used a brush that is too large and soft for her hand... maybe a smaller harder brush to remove the detail from between the fingers would suffice. finally the hair is great but only one small part needs to be slightly out of place before it starts to look off i think that piece is the bit sitting on the larger pillow it doesnt look right.
Aside from all that the lighting is great for a photomanip and you seem to know what you want from the image so a little bit more time with the same amount of effort will give you an AMAZING result. Also suggest if you didnt already to see what the shadow would be like at different distances from a light source the shadow looks close to what it should from a rounded object but maybe a little darker

I wish I could offer some editing advice, but I know little to nothing about photography at the moment. Sorry I can't help, but I really like this photo. I think you did a really good job regardless of the editing issues.

I'd work on the hair a little, maybe work it so it falls around the pillows a little more naturally, and as some others have said the shadow is a little off. With were the light is, I'd say it needs to be further forward towards the near side of the bed, and a little higher up, not completely centered under her.
Over all it's very well done, with a little work you'll improve wonderfully.

Nice one, but the shadow under her, on the bed, seems to be a bit too soft, as if the light which causes it would be much further away from her than the ceiling. Next time try to make it a bit sharper, but all in all a good piece

uh, you guys? who cares about the arm? This is a really GREAT job, not a poor one. like any of you could do any better! This looks really great. The hand and the end of the foot are what need a little work in terms of smoothing, but everything else is great. No one will notice the arm if it's not pointed out to them.
