Photo taken at Ohayocon 2009 by my boyfriend, during sunset. I love cosplaying as Vaati, out of all the fandoms and characters I enjoy, he's my favorite of all! And yes, my bang was flipped on the wrong eye so I had to reverse the photo to make it look like it was over the correct eye but that also reversed the closure on my cape...Vaati isn't a perfectly symmetrical character, after all! I guess next time I know to be extra careful how to style the wig on me when I wear this. Planning to wear it again for Fanime next year to get photos with other LoZ characters! This entire costume was made by me, and the makeup was a custom blend to get the right shade of super light purple (Vaati isn't blue, though for some reason a lot of people seem to think he is...*scratches head*).Related content

I went out as Vaati for halloween once.... my friends and I ganged up, and rounded up EVERYONE and i mean everyone in my school, and we had almost all the zelda characters for halloween. it was epic. xD so We decided to do this sort of roleplay, and we made a map, of the town, and circled where certain places were in the zelda world, and we did this whole community group zelda world for halloween. xD I had fun kidnapping Zelda. XD and while we waited, we were playing uno. xD and when the links got there, dark had to hide our cards.... by throwing them in the bushes. -.-' So Zelda and I had to go dig the cards out afterwards. -.-' We had a hard time pulling off the flying part in our practice, so we decided not to do it. xD I know one of my friends (i think the one who was zelda) has the videotape that someone did of our little world... XD

That's perfect and THANK DIN someone FINALLY understands he doesn't have the skin complexion of a Twili and his hair isn't dark purple. I think a few of the Zelda fans are a bit colorblind. -_-'

I'm glad I am not the only one to notice these things! Not just cosplay but fan art as well I see a lot of blue skintones and I am not sure where this comes from.
