Just a little scene I thought up. The Marauders stole the Sorting Hat and were almost to Gryffindor Tower. They thought they were home free and then they run into McGonagall.Remus is ticked that James and Sirius dragged him into this mess.
James is just thinking "Oh crap" with being caught with the hat.
Sirius is totally oblivious and still going on about how easy that was.
