Sometimes I buy adoptables too, and right after purchase I create a new reference or form for creature (for ex. I've purchased a cat and made for them an anthro form). It helps me a little :'D
Oh yeah, I've done that too (where you create a reference from the adopt), though it seems every time i do, I loose interest ;w; I'm trying to just draw that character in some kind of pose or scene rather than a still of them for a reference ;w; feels more interesting
