Description On a warm tropical planet within a triple star system dozens of light years away from us, superior mermaids imprison a surfing Earth woman underwater. One uses her bubble powers to shrink and keep her in a weakened distorted state, while the other uses hers to maintain the strength and integrity of the bubble enclosure. Perhaps, she is the next to be converted into one of them? Here is a work initially started in 1980 and finished just within July, 2009 - 4 evenings to finish the drawing (switching genres of back then), and 3 more to colorize it to this extent. Looks like it turned out alright. Agreed?

What is with those round circles around the bubble? They make it look like a plastic ball.

Those are to give the bubble a "3-D" look, and those about the outside of the bubble are what I call "lines of motion," to indicate the bubble is vibrating to the victim's struggle(s) within.

How's this in macabre and horror? There are definitely worse fates than being turned into a beautiful mermaid. Especially if you get cool powers to go with it. [Wants to know where you sign up]

I suppose the "Bubble Powers" is more macabre than horror, though it is by me considered a dark side type work. Quite the miracle that I was able to get this done after more than 2 1/2 decades after I started it.

How come you stopped so many of them, and what made you come back to them after all this time? And where can some of your writing be found?
